Hyundai Motor Brasil (HMB), Official Partner of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, initiated its 'Bola do Sonho Hyundai' (Hyundai dream balls) CSR project to share the spirit of the world's most famous football tournament and enhance the excitement in Brazil, the host country.

HMB will donate a total of 100,000 footballs to over 2,000 different Brazilian NGO's that dedicate their work to children.

"We are proud to initiate this meaningful program here in Piracicaba, our home in Brazil," said William Lee, HMB's President and CEO. "Through this program, we aim to strengthen our commitment to fair play and team spirit."

In addition to a unique entertainment space in the 31st Festa das Nacoes de Piracicaba, this year, HMB donated 10,000 balls to the event. The balls were sold to the visitors, while the proceeds went to the city's social fund.

"This new project only adds to all the things that the company is already doing in this community," said Gabriel Ferrato, Piracicaba's Mayor. "This project reinforces Hyundai's social role in the city. Since 2013, Hyundai has done social work with children from our local football club, the XV de Piracicaba, and today is the biggest contributor to our Festa das Nacoes, a completely philanthropic event."

After the deliveries in Piracicaba, the project's team will move on to Manaus, Recife, Brasilia and Porto Alegre, where the rest of 100,000 balls will be donated evenly to local NGO's.
